There comes a time in every kid’s life where they make a volcano for a science project. Usually the volcano is a paper mache tower with a cup holder in the middle. Most kids use some household ingredients to make the volcano erupt on the village below. That is boring. You can wow everyone at the science fair by using a little dry ice. Dry ice is a little similar to regular water ice, but it is made of carbon dioxide. When dry ice is added to hot water it does something special. It will create a ton of dry ice fog. The dry ice fog is a special low lying dry ice fog. To make your volcano extra special, have a cup in the middle. Fill the cup with hot water and add a couple small blocks of dry ice. The dry ice fog will start to erupt out of the top of the volcano on to the town below.

I value the importance of feedback in my Phlebotomy Training. I have never gone into anything I have done in my life as a know-it-all. I understand that my peers can teach me to better myself as well as my teachers. For those that are interested in phlebotomy, you should adopt this mindset and strategy to survive. Sometimes you don’t always have to take the lead and being a follower can be a truly enlightening experience. Phlebotomy is wrapped around the philosophy of having good teamwork in order to meet a common goal. I see now that my experiences in the field have caused me to have some bias towards this philosophy, however, until you experience the medical field from the employees perspective, you can not truly appreciate the value of a strong team. No one should go it alone, and a team that has diverse skills is much stronger than any one individual.

The US Cyber Challenge conducted by Cyber Foundations is in the search of the next big thing, or student, in cyber security. The competition will last over two months and will have over 2000 student participants from 169 schools, 32 states and 3 US Territories. Students will compete to be one of the five students with the best aptitudes for online security in the nation. Participants receive on-line tutorials and video education materials for computer science’s foundational fields. There will be three final tests administered and the top-scoring five students will receive scholarship money anywhere from 2500 dollars to 500 dollars – and the recognition of the entire nation. Congressman Jim Langevin, who co-founded the Congressional cyber security Caucus, says, “this competition is a fun and innovative way to help meet the urgent need to develop young talent in the cyber security field, which remains woefully lacking in top professionals.”
